Lloyds TSB Bank plc is a major financial organization headquartered in London, United Kingdom. This bank is considered Britain’s safest bank, named “Bank of the Year 2009” and “Corporate Bank of the Year” for five consecutive years.

Lloyds TSB was incorporated in 1995 through the merger of two rival banks, namely Lloyds Bank Plc, established by Charles Lloyd in 1765, and the TSB Bank, created in 1810 by Reverend Henry Duncan. Britain's largest retail bank emerged out of this merger.

At present, the bank operates 28 offices around the United Kingdom, working with around 66,800 employees. In addition, the bank has a network of offices in Europe, the Middle East, and the USA. Eric Daniels is the current CEO of Lloyds TSB while Sir Victor Blank is the acting Chairman. The shares of Lloyds TSB are traded on the London Stock Exchange and the New York Stock Exchange under the symbols LLOY and LYG, respectively.
